About Us
Christian Ngozi is the Founder of ´´Bolt Workplace; Work & Make.´´ He presents Bolt Workplace with an unusual combination of education, measurement and evaluation, research, technology, business development, and applied problem-solving. His academic trajectory from education and political science, Social Work through educational administration and planning to a PhD in Measurement and Evaluation has progressively developed an orientation toward understanding how people, systems and interventions can be assessed, improved and translated into practical outcomes.
The most significant feature of this background is not the accumulation of academic qualifications itself, but the methodological perspective that emerges from them. The founder therefore appears best characterized as a research-oriented systems thinker with an emerging entrepreneurial orientation.
His interests in psychometrics, Item Response Theory, computerized adaptive testing, artificial intelligence, simulation, mathematical modelling and data analytics demonstrate a willingness to move between conceptual and technical domains. Rather than treating disciplines as isolated areas, he tends to look for relationships between them. This interdisciplinary tendency is potentially one of his greatest strengths. His greater opportunity is to become a translator between domains particularly between research and application, knowledge and products, technology and users, and European and African markets.
Bolt Workplace should not be understood merely as a trading company, electronics business or research venture. Its more interesting identity lies between these categories. The central concept emerging from the business is the existence of a gap between research and the marketplace. Research can generate knowledge, models, technologies and ideas. Markets, on the other hand, require usable products, services, processes, evidence of demand, reliable supply and mechanisms for distribution. Between these two worlds lies a difficult translation problem:
How does an idea become something that can be tested, produced, adopted, distributed and ultimately create value? Bolt Workplace can position itself around this problem.
